Since 1891, Kek Lok Si Temple is known as the jewel in the crown of heritage temples in Malaysia, and has been identified as one of the largest and finest temple complex in South-east Asia.

The morning sun has just risen around the Komtar area in George Town, Penang. The 65-storey (232 m) Komtar Tower is a multipurpose complex where many retail outlets, a bus transportation hub and administrative offices for the Penang State Government are located.

Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion is Penang's first grade one restoration project. It was the winner of "Most Excellent Project" UNESCO Asia Pacific Heritage Conservation Awards 2000. The mansion was the residence of Cheong Fatt Tze who came from a poor Hakka family and later accumulated his wealth through hard work and perseverance.
