Heian Shrine, Kyoto - A famous Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperors Kanmu and Koumei. The brightly colored structure of the shrine is a replica on a reduced scale of the first Imperial Palace built in 794.

平安神宮神苑 <京都> - 明治28年(1895)に、平安遷都1100念を記念して創建され、桓武、孝明の陵天皇を祀る。往時の平安京大内裏朝堂院の規模を8分の5にしたもので、神苑には橋殿をかけた廻遊式庭園があり、春のしだれ桜が特に美しい。

Kiyomizudera Temple, Kyoto - Kiyomizudera was founded in 780 at the request of Sakanoue-no -Tamuramaro. The main hall of this temple, built in 1633, is famed mainly for its wide wooden veranda in front, protruding over a steep cliff, from which a panoramic view of the city can be seen.

清水寺 <京都> - 宝亀11年(780)に坂上田村麻呂の祈願により創建されたが、現在の建物はほとんど寛永10年(1633)徳川家光によって再建されたものである。"清水の舞台"で名高いお堂はこの寺の懸崖造りの本堂である。

Buckow wurde erstmals 1253 urkundlich erwähnt.

In den vergangenen Jahrhunderten waren Hopfenanbau, Bierbrauerei und Rosenzucht Haupterwerb der Menschen. Ab 1897 bekam die Stadt mit der Inbetriebnahme der Kleinbahn Müncheberg-Buckow ihre eigentliche Bestimmung als Fremdenverkehrsort. Buckow mit seiner landschaftlich reizvollen Umgebung und seinem besonderen Klima wurde ein beliebter Luftkur- und Erholungsort und ist seit 2003 staatlich anerkannter Kneipp-Kurort. Buckow, am Fluss Stobber gelegen und von mehreren Seen umgeben, zählt ca. 1600 Einwohner und ist der Hauptort des Naturpakes "Märkische Schweiz".

Roman Bath

The Roman Bath: Romans developed the present site of Bath soon after they landed in Britain in AD43. The water is an ancient rain which fell about 10,000 years ago and penetrated deep into the earth, rising when it had been warmed by the heat of the earth's core and re-appeared to the surface by the temperature of 46.5c.
バースの温泉は約10,000年前にちかくのメンデイップ丘隆に降った雨が地中深く潜り高温に加熱されて再び地上に摂氏45.6度の温度となり吹き出したものである。ローマ人AD43年に上陸後直ちにこの場所に温泉の建築が開始された。

Bath Abbey West Front

Bath Abbey west front - A masterpiece in the Perpendicular Style called "Lantern of the West" due to the large windows. The Abbey fell into disrepair during the Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1536 and was not properly restored until 1616.
バース寺院西側正面。現在の垂直建築様式は1616年に整った。壁の60%以上を窓が占めるので"西洋の灯火"と呼ばれた。
